The City of Newark, New Jersey invited 25 designers to address one pivotal question:

“How can Newark enhance its image in the future?” The concept for the competition entry envisioned a computer-based website campaign that extracts the “Voices of Newark”, its citizens. The creation of an interactive website campaign would start with the placement of website portal markers and shelters in neighborhoods to gather digital imagery about the city.

The branding system expresses: Newark Voices = Internet = Gateway = Voices = Website Portal.
