The PUSH studio design for the World Expo Information Pavilion was based on the Expo theme of “Feeding the Planet / Energy for Life.” Water as a fundamental necessity for food and energy formed the central concept for The Big Drop solution. The building is geodesic in structure, shaped like a drop of water that appears to be suspended in mid-air, and lighted with LED lights and microprocessors that display programmed Expo information. The interior spaces of the pavilion distribute spaces that appear to float within the geodesic structure.
